It tests hot and cold temperatures and reads in Celsius and Fahrenheit. It has a number of floating discs which indicates the level and strength of coolant.

A solution of more than 70% antifreeze will give less protection, the bulb is Black and has 6 discs for measuring the anti-freeze.
